Kidney Stone Treatment with FURS Method
Flexible ureteroscopy is a minimally invasive treatment used to treat stones in the kidney or upper parts of the ureter.
Unlike traditional surgical methods that require large incisions, the thin flexible ureteroscope (fURS) allows access to the kidney by passing through the external urinary canal, first into the bladder and then into the ureter (ureter). This allows direct visualization of the stone and precise targeting for treatment.
